Howdy,

For hub 3 nodes, sorry, I've been down the last few days.

A neighbours tree (across the road), which is about 25m high snapped in half due to high winds on Wednesday and landed on the power lines that supplies my house and neighbours house. It also included the HFC internet line.

It all happened at a time, when my kids were walking home from school, and my son got hit by the powerlines and the branches of the tree. Sparks flew everywhere, freaked him out, but thankfully the power line was insulated and he is OK.

(Also, fortunately, his sister was annoyed with him, so she was 5m or more behind him.)

Power was restored yesterday and I have the internet company coming out on Wednesday morning to restore the HFC capable. SO hopefully hub 3 will be back in business then.

Hey folks,

I've pretty much left Hub 3 on autopilot for the past few months and today thought I'd check up and see how it was going.

There were a bunch of packets that were not processed - most from my fido feed, seems hpt just forwards bad packets, but some packets were those outlier packets that clrghouz couldnt handle (missing "body", missing "subjects", some where missing "to", etc) so I did some updates to clrghouz to process those.

As a result, some of you might have got a bunch of old messages today and/or your BBS might have rejected them because they were old.

Just thought I'd let everybody know.

Howdy,

I'm aware that there is a problem happening on Hub 3 at the moment.

I'm trying to track down a strange looping bug, that I havent been able to trigger, and as a result it looks like I've broken more than I've fixed at this stage.

I know some mail is flowing, but for some systems (including my BBS), mail transfers are starting but not completing.

I'll work on it more tonight and hopefully I'll be able to track this one down.

You might see some extra polling to the affected systems, as I turn up debugging to trace what is going on... :)
