Greetings.
I've installed uMRC into my Mystic setup but am having an issue getting it to run from the board. I can run it local without issue. Mystic a48 on Win32 (VM). I've opened no ports for this program. Anyone have this running on Mystic and care to share your setup?

umrc-bridge.exe is run at startup as a TSR and is showing a normal "IMALIVE" status:
[2025/12/28 18:56:30] sendCmdPacket "CLIENT~~~SERVER~~~IMALIVE:|14The L|04oo|14ney Bin BBS!~" to host
[2025/12/28 18:56:30] sendCmdPacket "CLIENT~~~SERVER~~~STATS~" to host

The command on the board is:
Command: (D3) Exec DOOR32 program
Data: c:\doors\umrc\umrc-client.exe -D c:\mystic\temp%N\door32.sys
These paths are correct, and I'm pretty sure my spellings are correct.

My Node1.log says:
2025.12.28 02:14:29 Executing: c:\doors\umrc\umrc-client.exe -D c:\mystic\temp1\door32.sys
2025.12.28 02:14:29 Execution complete: 4294967295

When I select the C to chat from my menu, I see "Invalid config. Run config.exe". I have run the setup.exe in the \umrc directory and all the settings look correct. I'm using the default server info for mrc.bottomlessabyss.net port 5001 & SSL (I have tried non-SSL & port 5000).

I've probably got something screwy in my thinking (well.. thats a given), but I'm just not seeing the error here. Anyone got a thought?

Dunno if that helps any, sorry not running mysic! Did you change the directory? I had to do that. My batch file looks like:

This is the error you see when umrc-client cannot find the mrc.cfg file. You need to launch umrc-client from the directory it's located in.

Well.. actually Marty.. that was the right answer. I needed to run it from a bat file all along, instead of using the command line on the menu.

Yup, that's what I had wrong. I claim insanity. I just couldn't see it in front of my face. Launch things from a bat file instead of the menu command. Thanks.

No problem. A lot of programs don't change to the current directory automatically before trying to load a config file. Glad to be able to help!
