I saw someone get on IRC from a BBS as 'Kevin Mitnick'. My thought was "Classy."

So I have been told, and that would explain why I had never heard of him until someone used that alias to muck about on paulie's BBS. ;)

I met him once; I bet I still have his "lock pick set" business
card somewhere.

He was very good at social engineering, but he wasn't a particularly
technical person.

He passed away a few years ago; cancer. Sadly, his wife was
pregnant with his unborn child at the time.

When Shimomura or whoever it was released the realtime captures of Kevin's sessions in his systems, there were SOO MANY typos and bad commands and stumbling around like an idiot. That's when I knew for sure :).
