• Telnet Netmail Message Display Issue

From Techware@9:467/9 to Johnec on Sunday, September 18, 2022 22:58:34
A little late 2+yrs on my reply I'm behind a little but it's a bug in
Netmail it has From/To reversed, it does go out correctly tho.

    Hello All,

    I currently use version 8.0.454.8.

When displaying a netmail message during a telnet session, the From FidoNet-style
address is mine, when it should be the address from the sender, and there is not a To
    address.

    example:

    Sender name: Bob
    Sender address: 418:296/3

    Recipient name: Johnec (me)
    Recipient address: 418:296/1 (my address)

In telnet, I see this in the message header when I display the netmail:

    From : Bob (418:296/1)
    To : Johnec

    When it should be:

    From : Bob (418:296/3)
    To : Johnec (418:296/1)

It is only happening while viewing in telnet. If I reply to the netmail while
    in telnet, the
header is correct. If I view the same netmail using the web client, the heading
    is correct.

Are you experiencing the same issue with your Winserver?

    Thx,

    JEC
