I am not sure I think of Miami Vice being targeted to kids... maybe
    teens

Yeah, I meant that it's a little bit more watchable because it *wasn't* target
towards kids. Writers seemed to have had some contempt for kids or something,
nd really went overboard dumbing their scripts down back in the day. You can s
the stark difference between a show thought to be for adults versus one that s 'family oriented' when you compare Airwolf season one (which is a lot darker
to the subsequent seasons which shifted towards 'family friendly.'

Yes, I agree. The A-Team is probably another good example. I would
sometimes catch a bit of an episode when MeTV was running it recently and
it was even more dumbed-down than I remember. ;)

Yep. The A-Team was THE number one show for me in late-elementary school / early-middle school. I've rewatched the pre-Frankie seasons a couple of times and can still enjoy it for the nostalgia, but it requires a pretty heavy dose of suspension of disbelief.

I can't remember for sure how old I was when it first came out, but it was must-watch for at least the first couple of seasons. ;)

I want to way AirWolf was the evening draw here at that age. Again, not sure I could take it in the 21st century.

I saw an old magazine ad that had Mr T and Boy George on it, seems there was an episode where the singer featured in it.

Yeah, it's actually relatively progressive for the time, too. The plot is that there's a *country and western* singer named Cowboy George who Face books for this country bar (apparently as a side hustle) and Boy George shows up instead, for reasons I don't remember. There's a bank robbery that Boy George helps thwart, and though the country fans are initially sceptical about Boy George's looks, they warm up to the music. Mr. T gives Boy George his stamp of approval and tells him that he's okay!
