After a mid season hiatus this is back again on NBC, I've really
enjoyed the way they have been telling this story and it's callbacks to the original series.

Nice to see it's been renewed and for season 1 additional episodes have been ordered.

I have enjoyed it, but not to the point I enjoyed the old one. I too like
the callbacks, but the overall way of storytelling is not as good to me.

No one in the waiting room - too much 'present time' stuff. The old one
was basically an anthology with the same protaganist.

But a lot of this has fallen off my 'enjoyment radar' since my increase
in Christian beliefs and seeing things in a Biblical worldview... The
worst thing is someone dying, right? And the best thing is saving their
life, right? Not when you have a Biblical worldview...

So it's a nice distraction some, but not 'up there' for me...

They SHOULD know exactly were Sam is, since whomever he leaped into
should be sitting in the waiting room.

Part of the changes, I think... No waiting room now.

And Sam's last TELEVISED leap had no one in the waiting room, sooo... :-)

That's fair... but to counterpoint... They are trying to "fix" what
"should have been". You're right about viewing life and death that way
from a Christian/Biblical worldview as far as that individual was
concerned, but it's also about what they might accomplish in life,
offspring that "never were" due to the "untimely demise".

One could consider that if this person had not completed "God's plan" for
them yet, this could be how it gets set straight.

You are correct! The Good Lord works in mysterious ways! :-)
