My wife is having surgery on the 27th. She has a benign hemangioma on her liver. It's not life threatening, but could lead to potential risks down the road if left alone, so it has to come out.

We'll have our Christmas with our kids and in-laws, and then make our way to the hospital a couple days later. Recovery will take up to a week, which means we'll likely celebrate New Years there.

Sounds like a good christmas to me. We might be having it with just
ourselves, usually sister inlaw organizes something but havent heard, and
this morning my son woke up with a fever, hopefully he'll be over it
before christmas, but likely my wife and i will get whatever it is next -
which would mean no going out anyway.

Hey.

I got a PDP-11/34 and would like to start the restoring action to get that beauty back to action.
And also my faulty PDP-11/60 will get exchanged with a running PDP-11/21 with some nice 8" Floppy Drives. Really looking forward to have a running PDP11 System to show to our visitors.

Then next to play the new Indy Game i have a lot of hardware to fix that stores in the museum warehouse.

Very cool to hear of old iron still running. I wanted to get a PiDP-11
for the blinkenlights, haven't touched a PDP since college!
